WELCOME

Today, we welcome to our pulpit, recently ordained pastor, Bobby Uchida.  Bobby was born and raised in San Pedro and went through our intern program.  He has continued with us on a part-time basis and is a great asset to our team. 

Before we come into God’s presence together this morning, prepare yourself and space for a time of worship— grab your Bibles and turn to Ephesians 1, get comfortable, prepare your mind and heart with prayer.

Now let us worship our Lord, as a people scattered throughout the city, in spirit and in truth.

Call to Worship

Psalm 95:4-7

“In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.”

Ephesians 1: 7-10

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Offering

“Praise God from whom all blessings flow.” 

We are praising God today for your faithful and generous giving during this time of “Safe Shelter.”  We are able to fulfill all of our commitments to our ministries, staff, facility requirements, and missionaries. Everyone is very grateful for the dedication of our Ocean View Family.

Prayer for the Offering

Have someone pray this prayer for the gifts given by God’s people today. 

 We bring you only what is yours, Creator God, that you might use this offering for the building up of your kingdom and for the glory of your name. Amen.

We are directing people to give through our secure, online portal during the Sunday closures.

We understand that many people are under financial stress due to layoffs or temporary shutdowns.  Those who are able to continue to faithfully and generously give to the Lord’s work here at Ocean View, we thank you and encourage you to continue with your blessings.
