PRAYER
Let us Unite in Prayer each Day at 12:00 noon.
A CALL TO PRAYER
Prayer is talking with God. It is an exchange of feelings, thoughts, and opinions between the Creator and His people. God’s people use words and bodily expressions to communicate with Him. Prayer allows one to express his or hers hurts, joys, struggles, blessings, trials, and weaknesses—nothing is hidden from God. One finds solace and acceptance in God’s presence. John Bunyan describes prayer as “a sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to the Word of God, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God.”
Numbers 16:3-5
They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! For all in the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?” When Moses heard it, he fell on his face, and he said to Korah and all his company, “In the morning the LORD will show who is his, and who is holy, and will bring him near to him. The one whom he chooses he will bring near to him.”
Consider the reasons why divisions and conflicts can arise in local churches.
Pray for a heart that is not envious or critical of other faithful believers in Christ.
